Basel: Moodyman at LISTE Party
Carhartt WIP presents Detroit native Moodymann and Austrian DJ FLO REAL for an extra special LISTE Party during this year’s Art Basel. Those who are familiar with Moodymann’s groove know his DJ style is unique. He loves to take his audience on an unpredictable trip that can range from Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Prince to old and new house and techno as well as timeless funk and soul. A man of the music-loving people, his show makes sure that the audience and the artist are always in a deep, romantic, rhythmic conversation. Meanwhile, Viennese FLO REAL loves to spin in a similar direction and peppers her sets with elements of disco and hip hop. As local support, Basel’s finest DJ and production collective Alma Negra, globally known for their afro, disco and house tunes on famed labels like Sofrito, Highlife and their own imprint Alma Negra, will perform. Come by – no admission charge – to our night in partnership with LISTE Art Fair Basel and dive into some soulful Detroit grooves.
